Get stronger for the life you’re living now, and build the reserves you’ll draw on later.

What worked at 30 doesn’t always fit at 50.

Hormones shift. Energy changes. Old niggles speak up more often, and your calendar is fuller than ever. None of that rules out getting strong. You just need a plan built for the body you have now, and a physiotherapist and coach in your corner who understands it.

For women who know they need to get stronger

Knowing strength matters is the easy part. Knowing what your body needs now, and fitting it into a life that’s already full, is where most plans fall apart.

This program may be right for you if you:

  • Know you need to get stronger, but aren’t sure where to start or what your body needs now.
  • Have trained before, and what used to work no longer quite fits.
  • Are managing niggles, injuries, changing energy, menopause or other changes that have made exercise more complicated.
  • Want a plan built for you, not another generic exercise program.
  • Want accountability and support without organising your life around endless appointments.
  • Are thinking about the woman you’ll be at 75, and want her strong, capable and independent.

It’s probably not for you if you want a quick fix.

Or a short-term weight-loss challenge, or a generic plan handed over with no follow-up. This program asks you to take part. April guides you, adjusts your plan and helps you work through the barriers that come up, but the real change happens in what you do consistently between sessions.

Where are you now?

Everyone starts with different levels of strength, fitness, confidence and experience. The program starts from yours. Choose the rung that sounds most like you.

Tap a rung to see what your first 12 week would focus on.Not sure? That’s what your initial assessment is for.

Where am I going, not where have I come from.

Four overlapping circles: fuel, function, recovery and regulation. Fuel and function overlap at energy, fuel and regulation at readiness, regulation and recovery at resilience, and function and recovery at physical capacity. Fuel Function Recovery Regulation Readiness Energy Resilience Physical capacity Strong Now. Strong Later

What’s limiting your capacity?

Strength is only part of the picture. Your assessment looks at four areas that shape how much you have in reserve.

Fuel
What, when and how much you eat and drink, and whether it supports your training and recovery.
Function
How well you move, lift and load your body, including pain or old injuries.
Recovery
Sleep, rest and how quickly you bounce back between sessions and busy weeks.
Regulation
Stress, mood and hormonal change, and how well you adapt to the load life puts on you.

Where they overlap is where you feel the difference: energy, readiness, resilience and physical capacity.

How your 12-week program works

A clear process, built around you, with April checking in every week.

  1. Start with an assessment

A comprehensive 1:1 assessment of where you’re starting from, what matters to you and what might be getting in the way.

  2. Find your rung

Identify your current capacity level and what your body needs next.

  3. Name your limiters

Pinpoint which of fuel, function, recovery and regulation is holding you back.

  4. Build what you need now

Individual priorities and a program built around your body, goals, experience, equipment and lifestyle.

  5. Train, check in, progress

Weekly 30-minute 1:1 sessions, in person or online, to check your form, solve problems and progress as you get stronger.

  6. Plan what comes next

Finish with a clear plan, so your 12 weeks become the foundation for building capacity well beyond them.

April is a physiotherapist as well as a strength coach. If pain, injury or a physical concern comes up, it’s addressed as part of your program rather than becoming a reason to stop.

What you walk away with

  • Movement you trust

The foundations of moving well, and a deeper understanding of how your body works.

  • Strength for real life

More capacity to lift, carry and meet the physical demands of work, home and the things you love.

  • Stronger muscles and bones

Progressive strength training to support your muscles, bones and joints as you age.

  • Confidence in your body

Trust in what your body can do, so you can stop second-guessing every session.

  • Room to recover and adapt

The ability to recover, adapt and cope with life’s demands and setbacks.

  • A framework for life

A way of looking after your health and capacity that keeps working long after day 12 weeks.

Meet April King

April is a physiotherapist and strength and conditioning coach. Her work focuses on the connection between physical capacity, women’s health and how we perform across life.

With more than 23 years in physiotherapy and over 15 years in strength and conditioning, she brings together clinical experience, coaching, women’s health, business leadership and education to make health and performance science practical, relatable and useful.

She has worked with girls and women from adolescence through midlife and into older age, and has seen first-hand how building physical capacity changes not only their health, but how confidently they take part in sport, work and life.

We should spend less time teaching women to fear their bodies and more time helping them discover what their bodies are capable of.

Before you start

Do I need to be fit before I start?

No. Your initial assessment works out where you’re starting from, whether you haven’t exercised in years or you already train regularly. The program builds from there.

I have an injury, pain or menopause symptoms. Is this still for me?

In many cases, yes. Women managing niggles, injuries, changing energy and menopause are a big part of who this program is for. Physiotherapy input is included when required, so pain or injury can be addressed rather than becoming a reason to stop. If you’re unsure, raise it in your initial assessment.

How much time does it take each week?

One 30-minute 1:1 session with April, in person or online, plus the training you do between sessions. Premium programming is written around your schedule, equipment and lifestyle.

Do I need a gym membership?

Not necessarily. Premium programming is designed around the equipment you have access to.

What’s the difference between Basic and Premium?

Both include a weekly 1:1 session with April, the exercise video library, newsletters and webinars, and a standard 12-week exercise program. Premium adds weekly personalised programming for all 12 weeks and the 8-week Healthy Habits program.

Can I pay in instalments?

Yes. Premium can be paid as $1,650 upfront, then two further payments of $1,100 (all inc. GST).

What happens after I secure my place?

April will be in touch to organise your initial assessment, where you’ll work out where you are now, what you need and where you want to go.

Ready to get started?
